43 · Mounted Infantry bandolier, 1901 period, in leather for 50 rounds, Swedish. Leather pouches need cleaning of oxidation, otherwise fine and scarce.

44 · Compass, marked Barker's/ Patent Pat.No.29677/ 1910, engraved around edge 'H.M.Grimwade', in leather case with strap. Wear consistent with use, good.

45 · World War I and II, military kit bag locks, a pair of brass D shaped locking devices, one with a small padlock attached but no key. Fine. (2)

46 · Australia, WWII, RAAF Mk1 Aerial Dead Reckoning Computer, made by W&G, Melbourne, Australia, comprises a metal rotating calculating unit with plastic insert for calculation, with original leather case marked at the bottom in white paint, '942'. The plastic insert damaged and the leather case missing stitching at one side and across the bottom, otherwise good fine.

47 · WWII, military chain-link, folding hand saw, with removable, fitted timber handles and tools, all in leather carry pouch to fit on belt, on one of the belt fittings is impressed, 'P.I./1943' and below this is the Defence upright broad arrow besides number 33. Leather case stiff, saw oiled and appears to be unused, very good - good very fine.

48 · World War II, small brass signal torch, with lift-lid container, the lid fitting section stamped with upright arrow over 113; another plain brass lift-lid container. Fine - very fine. (2)

49 · Australia, WWII, Ear Drum Protectors (Aust.) MK.1, Medium, in tin, marked Ident. No. L23/5155, contents appear to be intact; Emergency Ration tin, Made in Australia, with Defence broad arrow, tin empty; Australian Red Cross Society tin of Talcum Powder appears to be nearly full; fitted knife, fork and spoon set from a soldier's kit; spoon by Allbrite Stainless Steel, with Rising Sun badge impressed onto the end of the handle. Good - fine. (7)

50 · WWII, military canvas bucket sacks with heavy rope handles, one side of each sack has the printed details, 'G.P & Co/D upright arrow D/1943'. Fine. (2)

51 · Bren Gun carry bag, in webbed khaki, with several lidded compartments for accessories and parts, under top lid is stamped with faded details including year of issue as 1943. Very fine.

52 · Australia, Air Raid Precautions bell, painted sticker on timber handle is illegible, on top of handle is affixed an Australian 1944 penny, on one side of the base of the bell is the inscribed initials, 'A. R. P.'. Fine.

53 · Australia, shoulder purse, in brown leather with chain and leather shoulder strap, with clip down flap, inside marked, 'Geo. Pizzey & Son Ltd/[detail unclear] 1955/D upright arrow D', a badge has been removed from the flap leaving four holes. Very fine.

54 · World War II, Japanese water bottle, with leather strapping. The cork deteriorated, otherwise fine.

55 · Military observation scope, angled at one end, side marked with King's crown above A M/REF. No 6B/110/No 136/38. Fine.

56 · Alarm clock, by Schatz, in leather covered brass case, on the lid is affixed a metal tag inscribed, 'W.J.M.', and on the back of the clock is inscribed, 'W.J.Maybury/RAN. 62660', stored in deteriorated leather case with strap fitting on reverse. The clock does not appear to be working, the case with oxidation and the back leather cover is loose, otherwise fine.

57 · Canada, WWI, military brass extending telescope in leather holder with shoulder strap and attached to the strap is a small leather holder containing a small brass scope, this damaged, the holder stamped, 'DOD', the extending telescope stamped, 'TEL : SIG : Mk IV** ALSO G.S./"CONSOL"/TORONTO/1917/No 203/broadarrow'. All the leather aged, otherwise very good.

58 · Canada, vintage bugle in copper and brass with badge of Ontario Regiment soldered to the top of the horn section, the original mouthpiece replaced with a silver plated brass type marked, 'Yamaha Japan 11'. A few dents as usual, otherwise fine.

59 · Great Britain, Range Finder No.12 MkVII, Type F.T.37, Base 80cms, No. (impressed) 791 and also impressed with Defence upright arrow, complete with folding handles and also with folding metal tripod marked, 'Stand No 1 & 2 Infty. R.F./Mark II/Houghton Butcher Mfg. Co Ltd/1916/10291 and upright Defence arrow'. The rubber at each end is deteriorated with age and there are a few small spots of oxidation, otherwise very fine.

60 · Army Swagger Sticks, two different types but both made of timber, one blackened, and approximately the same length (approx 48-50cm), both have a small ball tip at the end, one has carved decoration at the handle end which includes a rising sun above a shield, the other features a circular pattern and a tiered thickness, this one appears to have something missing from the end, possibly a small metal badge or decoration. Both with cracks at handle end, otherwise fine. (2)

61 · Binoculars, small pair of opera style binoculars marked by maker, 'Lossl & Cie/In Wien', in small leather purse-like holder and this fits into a small khaki bag with flap and khaki cloth shoulder strap, the flap has two closing clips but both loose and one missing a stud, the inside of the flap has the penned name, 'TAIT'. The binoculars very fine, the leather purse poor and the shoulder bag very fine except for missing bits. (lot)

62 · World War II, RAF cockpit lamp Mk II, Bakelite body with red filter, this with small crack. Good fine.

64 · Germany, WWII, Austrian made razor sharpening tool by Siemens, in hinged-lid bakelite case (approx 60x35x28mm), together with instruction sheet written in German. Very fine.

65 · USA, WWII, Army leather holster for Colt M1911 pistol, the back with belt hooks as well as slits for a belt, US impressed in relief on the flap; also an unidentified truncheon in blackened timber (approx 41cm long). Small split on the closing hole for the holster flap, otherwise very good; the truncheon fine. (2)

66 · USA, Military medium 65 MSA 2E8 black rubber gas mask, numbered 2034-63-2054, and on the adjustable head strap C8RI DA-18 035-AMC-455 (A) ECP. Needs cleaning, otherwise fine.

68 · Binoculars, by Bausch & Lamb, USA, cased, engraved on eye plates K.Hakim and the names of the ships he served on, mostly Indian Navy. Missing one eye piece cap, damage to case lid, otherwise general wear consistent with age and storage.

75 · Buchanans Whiskey glazed earthenware decanter, WWI period in shape of a military shell, in navy blue and pale blue (approx 22cm high), base marked, 'James Green & Nephew/Queen Victoria St London/Patent No.12748/8. Septr 1916.' (the retailers) and by the maker, 'Copeland Spode', with moulds on both sides, on one side it depicts a ship with the name 'Sydney' below and on the opposite side it depicts a soldier wearing a slouch hat standing to attention with a WWI vintage aeroplane overhead. One stein with a chip at the top edge and the other with a chip at the base, otherwise extremely fine. (2)

162 · WWI, trench art, a flower bowl (height approx 14.5cm), made from a brass shell casing from a standard German field gun, with flared top and sides with engraved patterned floral decoration and around the bottom circular beaded panels, the casing marked on the base, 'St (Strengthened)/Rh M.F. (Rheinische Metallwaren (und Maschinen) Fabrik/DEZ 1916 (December 1916)/Dusseldorf/Sp61' and also at an angle near M.F. is 194. The flared top with some edge bumps, otherwise fine.

Start MF 65/34 and 23 ME/65', with smaller shell casings fitted as handles, all items chromed, inside the large casings is three quarters filled with what appears to be concrete, on one side of each is inscribed, 'Phan Rang/67 - 68'. With some dents on edges of casings and oxidation on handle arms, otherwise fine. (2)

173 · Trench art, model of a Spitfire in chromed metal mounted on a curved rod attached to the side of a base and with provision at the top of the base to mount another model; also a brass monoplane, marked on the wing is 'USA/ST-53', with fitting on the underside for attaching to a base. The first with spotty toning and both affected by oxidation, otherwise fine. (2)

174 · Trench art, the lower section of a brass 18Pr artillery shell casing with various base markings, half of the casing cut away and a swinging carry handle fitted, at the full side two cartridges have been fitted, inside the base is provision for a small flame and this with a crudely made cover; another smaller brass shell casing with various markings on the base and crudely fitted at each side are smaller brass shell casings, the fitting has been done by soldering which is clearly visible. 175 · Trench art, a large artillery shell casing in chromed brass with the top curved outwards, marked on base S 10/14, affixed at the side is a Rising Sun hat badge (KC) and an Australia metal shoulder title below, both silvered. Good fine.

176 · Trench art, 1943 artillery shell lower section with holed brass shell fitted inside and this with a rod to which is attached a brass fighter aircraft, missing propeller; a crudely cast brass base with RAAF badge, in the centre is provision for a photo and at one end is a curved rod to which is attached a brass and white metal WWII bomber aircraft, some propellers loose; a small crudely cast brass ashtray with resting provision for three cigarettes. Poor - very good, a good restoration project. (

177 · Trench art, artillery shell casings made into a lady's vintage boot affixed to a shell casing to be used as a vase and this with a small base support. The top of the boot with a small fixable bump, otherwise fine.

178 · Trench art, ashtray made from the base of a brass artillery shell, the base with 'F/Japanese character/6/crossed canons/circle with 3 dividers/Japanese character', upright in the centre is a large machine gun shell case with cartridge fitted; also a container made from the brass base of a shell casing marked '4.5 in Howr/II/OT3365' and other markings as well as 1917, with rolled over top edge and three circular lines around and with O S N Co (Orient Steam Navigation Co) on one side above the cir

179 · Trench art, shell casing marked on base, Japanese character, S 7/18, another Japanese character, anchor, the case crafted into a vase and engraved on the side is a coconut tree beside a hut and above is Balikpapan and below is 1st July 1945. Small split in rolled top, otherwise good fine.

180 · Australia, trench art vase made from a large Japanese brass shell casing, with Japanese markings on the base, on one side is affixed an Australian Rising Sun collar badge (KC) and below this is an Australia metal title. With a stain on the side that can be polished out and a small dent, the badge and title have been cleaned, otherwise fine.
