Privacy
Last updated 29 June 2026.
Lotwatch collects the least it needs to run the service, and tells you plainly what that is. This page covers your account, payments, and the usage analytics we keep to improve the product. It isn't legal advice; if something here matters to you, email us.
Your account
To sign in you give us an email address and a password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash, never in plain text. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, which removes your monitors, saved lots, sessions and profile.
Payments
Subscriptions are handled by Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers; we keep only a customer reference and your current plan status so we know what you're entitled to.
Usage analytics
We record the actions that tell us what's useful: searches you run, lots you open, links you follow to an auction house, and where you reach a paywall. That's how we see what works and fix what doesn't. If you're signed in, those events are tied to your account. If you're not, we use a random, first-party cookie to group a single visit, and we never store your IP address.
We honour the Do Not Track signal: if your browser sends it, we set no analytics cookie and record nothing for anonymous browsing. Raw usage records are deleted after 180 days; only aggregate counts are kept longer.
Cookies
We use two first-party cookies and no third-party advertising or tracking cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and the analytics cookie described above (skipped under Do Not Track).
Who else touches your data
We don't sell personal information. To run the service we rely on Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and account and alert emails) and Stripe (payments); each processes only what their part of the service requires.
