How it works

The whole country's salerooms, read for you every few hours

Dealers refresh a dozen auction sites every morning. Collectors find out after the hammer. Valuers can't cite a comp the house has already deleted. Lotwatch does the watching, the reading and the remembering, so a job that used to take forty browser tabs now takes one sentence.

The mechanism

Index, diff, match, alert, keep

1 · Index

Every room, fetched continuously

We poll every Australian auction house we can reach, the big platforms and the tiny onsite estate salerooms, and turn their catalogues into structured lots: title, category, estimate, status, result. Houses we haven't indexed yet still appear in the register, ready to watch.

2 · Diff

We re-read and compare, every sweep

Catalogues change without anyone saying so: lots withdrawn, estimates revised, dates moved, results published. We snapshot every sweep and diff it against the last, so a change nobody announced becomes an alert.

3 · Match

Monitors that match on meaning

Describe what you want in a sentence. We read the messy, truncated catalogue text for the maker, period and materials, and match on what a lot is rather than the words it used. A “dive watch” monitor catches an Omega Seamaster and a Rolex Submariner both.

4 · Alert

One clean email, when you want it

Instant, daily or weekly. Each email is ranked and deduplicated, with the reason a lot matched and a link to the house. Save a lot and we'll remind you before it closes, then tell you what it made.

5 · Keep

Hammer prices, kept forever

Houses delete their results. We capture realised prices nightly and never delete them. It is the comparable-sales record Australia doesn't otherwise keep, searchable and exportable.

Know your saleroom

Every house, resolved to a real business

We don't just list a name. We resolve each room to a verified business entity, with its ABN, GST status and entity type confirmed against the Australian Business Register, alongside its location, buyer's premium and viewing times. That gives buyers a trust signal, dealers the true-cost number, and estate practitioners a vetting sheet.

A house profile carries
  • ABNVerified · GST registered · active
  • Premium22%, the dealer's true cost
  • LocationCarlton, VIC · map & viewing
  • SellsJewellery · watches · art
