AUSTRALIA - Inwards Mail to Australasia Accelerated by Air Transit: 13 Nov. 1936 cover (reduced at base) Melbourne-London franked unusual combination for 1/6d airmail rate, carried aboard Imperial Airways service flight IW497 during which Horsa due to inclement weather could not land Nov 23-24 at Amman, subsequently force-landed Nov 24 at Gaza, and mail redirected to Alexandria. Very scarce incident.
