FREDERICK CORNELL (c.1833 - 1890), The P.S. Avon at Bairnsdale, circa 1880, albumen paper print with some hand-colouring, laid down on card; the image approx. 22.5 x 28.5cm; the card 30.5 x 38.5cm. Unlike Lot 401, this photograph is not signed or annotated. In addition to the different perspective of the paddle-steamer, we also have a clear sight of the Taylor butchery, with it's holding pens, in the background.
