France. Pre 1900 blue, red & white wool coatee, possibly Artillery or a Grenadier of Infantry. Front closes with hooks & eyes, elaborate braid of gold & blue added later to front & collar, possibly by costume company or theatre. Buttons are crossed sword, English-made plain dome. 4 white worsted Grenades to rear skirt. Coatee has white cotton upper lining & pink or faded red cotton lower lining. We have been unable to establish if this is genuine or an old replica. Minor mothing but good for age
