ARTHUR MERRIC BOYD pottery vase with finely painted goanna in landscape. Potted by Boyd, the decoration has often be attributed to PETER HERBST who help set up the Murrumbeena Pottery along with John Perceval and Arthur Merric Boyd. Works by Herbst are extremely rare and only a few known pieces survive. incised "Arthur Merric Boyd", 11.5cm high
