DAME NELLIE MELBA INTEREST. A superb antique Australian miniature chest of six drawers with cantilever top and finely carved rococo corbels, Australian cedar and celery pine with kauri pine and cedar secondary timbers, late 19th century. The piece is purported to have belonged to Melba and was part of the furnishings of COOMBE in the Yarra valley on the outskirts of Melbourne. An exceptional piece befitting the famed diva. 58cm high, 49cm wide, 34cm deep
