Queen Anne sterling silver baluster shaped sugar castor of impressive proportions. Recessed circular raised foot base with fluted decoration to the lower baluster shaped body and raised rim above. Original cover (hallmarked), mounted on a gadrooned base with fine piercing and engraving depicting a lattice to the upper part and floral decoration to the lower. An attractive turned circular finial to top. A fine and early example. Most likely made by Charles Adam of London, circa 1710,
