JOSEPH THOMAS SLEEP impressive ladies pocket watch in 18ct gold full hunter case with engraved decoration, mid 19th century. Movement engraved "J.T. SLEEP, BALLAARAT". Sleep arrived in Ballarat in 1855 and quickly established himself as one of the finest jewellers on the goldfields. Works by Sleep are rare and highly prized. 5.5cm high overall
