GEORGE THWAITES (attributed), impressive cedar gentleman's press on chest with finely carved facemask corbels, interior fitted with original slides in cedar, Melbourne origin, circa 1860s. Purported to have been part of the original furnishings for LABASSA, a fine 19th century mansion in Caulfield, Melbourne, which was built for the Robinson family who were part owners of the famous COBB & Co. Victorian coach service. 222cm high, 138cm wide, 64cm deep
