THE VOYAGE OF THE "HAYESTON" FROM MADRAS TO NEW SOUTH WALES 1815-16. A manuscript letter from The Sheriff's Office, Madras, dated 17th November 1815, informing C.M. Ricketts, Chief Secretary at Fort William, Bengal, informing him that the owner of the "Hayeston" has advised that "the provisions and water for the European convicts now under sentence" are now on board and that the ship "will drop down the river on Sunday or Monday next....for the embarkation of the Convicts."
