A TRAGIC BOOK OF CONDOLENCE CARDS: Following the deaths of their two sons, Private Leslie Edward BENNING, who died of wounds at the age of 21 (24th July 1916), and his younger brother, Harold Vincent BENNING, who died of his wounds, aged 19 (14th Nov. 1916), the mourning parents collected the newspaper reports and condolence cards they received from family, friends and acquaintances, as well as old school teachers and others, who were motivated to write.
