An original letter dated 17th December 1930 from Arthur Sims in Christchurch to Clarrie Grimmett, c/o the South Australian Cricket Team: "Dear Grimmett, I understand Arthur Mailey spoke to you about a team I was trying to get over to New Zealand to give our New Zealand Team a game or two before they leave for England.....Arthur Mailey told me that you were not certain whether you could come or not; but naturally all New Zealanders are more proud of you than ever...."
