An early Colonial Australian cedar six leg sideboard in the Sheraton manner with huon pine stringing, diamond escutcheon inlays, tapered legs terminating in spade feet, New South Wales origin, circa 1820. Each drawer blade veneered in cedar on solid beefwood rails, otherwise cedar secondary timbers with a couple of scrub cut Baltic pieces to the carcass plus some eucalyptus secondaries. Restored and refinished at some time in the late 20th century. 91cm high, 173cm wide, 57cm deep.
