A QUEENSLAND 1911 HONOUR CAP, awarded to a member of the State team which played against New South Wales on June 7, 1911; maroon velvet with wire embroidered "Q" around a kangaroo over the date "1911" and full tassle; black internal lining. In exceptionally fine condition. Accompanied by an original Talma RP postcard of the team. Provenance: the Estate of Jack "Darb" Hickey (1887 - 1950), who was a member of the opposing New South Wales team and who evidently exchanged his cap for this one.
