THE SADDLE USED BY DANNY MAHER WHEN HE RODE THE WINNERS OF THREE ENGLISH DERBYS: ROCK SAND in 1903, CICERO in 1905, and SPEARMINT in 1906, as well as numerous other races Maher rode for King Edward VII, however the king's horses were raced under the name of the Duke of Devonshire. The saddle is accompanied by the two original American Railway Express Co., baggage labels that were affixed to the packaging when the saddle was sent by Joe Longton from America, to Aubrey Robinson, his old friend
