AN AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO TOUR TEAM 1912 HONOUR CAP, awarded to a member of the team which toured Great Britain, where they became the first-ever touring side to win The Ashes; maroon and deep navy velvet, with wire embroidered "ARL (kangaroo) AUSTRALIAN" over the date "1912" and full tassle; black internal lining and the "Finney Isles & Co. Ltd. Queensland" maker's label. In exceptionally fine condition. Provenance: the Estate of Jack "Darb" Hickey (1887 - 1950) who appears to have been included.
