Militaria: Japan, WWII, officer's shin gunto katana, single edge curved steel blade, bronze floral decorated tsuba, with decorated silver plated habaki, the tsuka (handle) with cut-out pattern leather over previous damaged cover, the button holding the handle to the tang could not be removed so any maker's details on the tang are unknown, with painted steel scabbard, this with regulation military bronze fittings including a suspension loop which has a chain hanger, metal clip and leather belt st
